Before I Formed You

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.

Jeremiah 1:5

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Psalm 139:13-14

From the moment of conception, life in the womb is growing, and what is growing cannot be dead, but must be alive. Because the parents are human, the growing life is human. Therefore, this living human is a human being. The fact that the human being is still in the womb does not reduce its worth. The value of a human being is immeasurably precious, at every age, every stage, and every location.
